Font - Michelle Caira @MichelleCaira • 8h . Replying to @Oluwatobi I think "fixing things" - seemed to be a normal thing to fix anything that was broken. At school we had home economics (learning to cook/kitchen hygiene), repairing clothes, woodwork, metalwork, etc. Just fixing things instead of binning and buying new.

Font - AGD, MSEd @TheLexGabrielle Taking romantic risks. I think that our generation can be so fixated on wanting a "perfect" partner or only dating certain kinds of people, as well as not expressing interest until they feel as if everything is in perfect order. I don't think our parents waited around like that. tobi @OluwatObi - 1d What's something that you think our parents generation got right but we're failing at?

Font - Jide @JideThinks We've paralyzed ourselves with the idea that we have so many options. Older gen locked on to whatever they wanted and focused on that. It takes discipline and effort to really get good at something so they got that spot on. Most people knew each other from the beginning to the end of their street, and could therefore look out for each other. These days, most people keep their kids inside because everyone is minding their business and could care less about kids safety.
